I had the rare opportunity to get out for a walk on my own (usually I’m taking care of my two girls) so I headed to some nearby woodland with my camera for some thinking space.
I really enjoyed myself – being alone and able to hear nothing but birdsong as I walked among the trees. Many of them were covered in moss and ferns and twisted into interesting shapes due to the high level of rain this area experiences.
- Some of the trees I encountered were covered in thick layers of moss
- A close up of one of the moss covered trunks
- The moss created an interesting texture on an already interesting tree
- A hole in a dry-stone wall caused by tree growth
- This tree featured not just moss but ferns too
